Beth Ann Levendoski has a 20-year history of serving the public good. Born into a family of farmers and land stewards, she made it her mission to promote healthy living and agricultural renewal. Since co-founding Tierra Miguel Foundation in 1999, Beth has been passionate about this mission working closely with local farmers, educators, community members, and regional and state officials.
As President and Executive Director of Tierra Miguel, Beth formed a regional growers' cooperative to address market demands for locally grown food and to increase the amount of wholesome food in the conventional food system. Through her leadership and the Foundation's outreach efforts, more than 1,070 tons of fresh, locally grown produce have been delivered to neighboring families and schools. She currently serves with the San Diego Food System Working Group to develop regional and national food and agriculture policy recommendations. From the time of Tierra Miguel Foundation's inception, Beth's collaborative efforts have improved local markets and food security in the region.

Tierra Miguel Foundation informs and educates the community on the value of local sustainable agricultural practices while strengthening the connection between people and the source of their food. Through its 85-acre working produce farm, the Foundation grows certified organic fruits and vegetables and uses Bio-Dynamic agricultural preparations that heal the earth and improve the nutritive quality of the produce. Since the Foundation's inception in 1999, its programs have created positive change in the human and environmental health of the Southern California community and have taught others about the importance of protecting farmland.
